After teaching at the Community College of Philadelphia, West Chester University and Villanova University, he decided to go back to school and received a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware in 2006. While there, he taught a multivariable calculus course to advanced students at the renowned Charter School of Wilmington. In the fall of 2006, he came to work for the University of Pennsylvania full-time as a lecturer. Now the Associate Director of Undergraduate Mathematics, he is part lecturer and part administrator. In 2016, he won the School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award for Affiliated Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, he won the School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award for LPS Undergraduate Teaching. He has served as an advisor to many students and is the faculty advisor to Penn’s Basketball Analytics Group. During the past twelve summers, he has taught and mentored students in the Pre-Freshman Program. He is the father of two wonderful children, a son who is 17 and a daughter who is 13.
