LeadHers Vacation Program 2020 -Week 1, Day 1: Orientation & Opening Ceremony

Monday, August 3rd, 2020 -Day 1 : Highlights

Day 1 of the LeadHers Vacation program was a huge success! After months of planning the LeadHers Vacation program commenced with an orientation & opening ceremony.

The morning session consisted of an opening ceremony/ orientation where the keynote speaker Freda Koomson spoke about leadership.

Each girl received LeadHers T-shirts and water bottles and got a tour of the facilities. The morning session was followed by a break for lunch.

Personal Development Workshop: Mental Health & Wellness - By: Summer Kollie

The afternoon session consisted of a mental health workshop presented by Summer Kollie followed by an Intro to Computer basics presented by Claudius Thompson. The mental health workshop stressed the importance of mental health for everyone.
