  1. LeadHers Development Program

The LeadHers Development program runs in August when the girls are on break from school. Launched in 2020, it was originally a basketball vacation program. The 2020 LeadHers program instead focused on computer literacy due to the 2019 Corona Virus outbreak. In partnership with Microsoft, Rebound Liberia hosted a 2 week program for girls. This program incorporated remote and in person computer training, personal development workshops, and college & career panels. Dynamic guest speakers were invited to speak and motivate the girls during key workshops. 30 young ladies left the program with a greater understanding of Microsoft Suite, a greater sense of self awareness, and friendships developed over the past two weeks.

2. Rebound Liberia Classic - Basketball Tournaments

Rebound Liberia hosts annual tournaments which showcase some of high school basketball top female talents in Liberia. Rebound Liberia launched its inaugural tournament, the Rebound Liberia Classic on Friday, November 23rd, 2019 and Saturday November 24th, 2019. It was the biggest and the first of its kind for high school girls in Monrovia. 8 high schools from across Monrovia competed to take home the $1,000 grand prize and the championship trophy. The RL Classic continues to be the biggest tournament showcasing amazing talent.

 

3. Rebound Liberia Academy

This year’s Rebound Liberia Academy recruitment started on February 21st, 2022, and its runs up to February 25th, 2022. As a skill-intensive after-school basketball program to help over 40 high school girls improve. Fortunately, Rebound Liberia intends to run this program for 4 months this year. Rebound Liberia launched the 2022 RL Academy on Monday, February 21st, 2022. These sessions will last four months every Monday and Wednesday from February 28th, 2022 - June 28th, 2022 the hour of 3:45 pm-5:30 pm at the Tubman High School, 12th Street, Monrovia, Liberia. The sessions are filled with skills drills and personal development discussions every last Wednesday of the month.
