Financial Literacy Workshop: Saving, Investing, and Budgeting for High School Girls
Miss. Sandra talked about GT’s Smart Kids Savings account and she talked about making the right decisions when it comes to finance and investments. She talked about the importance of budgeting especially as potential college students and saving little by little so that the girls could understand the importance of being financially independent at a young age.
Remote Computer Literacy Session 1 With Microsoft
The first Computer Literacy session was was facilitated remotely by Brett & Collette from Microsoft & in person by Claudius Thompson & Prince Geayon from the Rebound Liberia team. The first session of the Computer Literacy portion commenced with an Introduction to Microsoft Word. The students learned Word fundamentals such as:
Intro to word- what is it and what is it used for
Selecting a template for a blank document
How to Save as/ creating a title for the document
Close document and how to open already saved document
Scroll bars on the document
Entering Text ( My name is ----, enter and I am --- years old)
How to use the backspace
How to use the arrow key to direct to a specific word on the document
Redo and Undo
Aligning your text (left, center, right)
Line spacing (1.5)
Changing fonts and font size
How to use bold, italics and underlines, highlight
Changing font color
How to save and close Word
