2023/2024 Leadhers program update.
In the heart of a bustling city, a group of 32 determined young women embarked on a transformative journey with Rebound Liberia Leadhers 2.0, a groundbreaking digital literacy training program tailored for aspiring professionals. Phase one commenced with eager participants immersing themselves in a diverse array of modules, from basic computer skills to advanced software proficiency.
Under the guidance of expert instructors, each participant navigated through the intricacies of essential computer skills, essential software skills, using technology in daily life, and beyond, fueled by a shared passion for knowledge and growth. Challenges were met with resilience, setbacks with perseverance, as they forged ahead, honing their skills and expanding their horizons.
As the culmination of phase one approached, the number of participants had decreased by 8, leaving total participants within the program at 24 in number, and before the end of phase two few participants also dropped. It was time for evaluation and testing, where participants would showcase their newfound expertise. Nerves tingled, but their months of dedication paid off as they confidently demonstrated their abilities, impressing both instructors and peers alike.
With phase one and phase two triumphantly behind them, Attendees number dropped from 24 participants to 18 participants who successfully completed and graduated from the program. The journey continued into phase three—a three-month internship placement aimed at practical application and real-world experience. Excitement mingled with nerves as participants delved into their respective internships, eager to put their skills to the test in professional settings.
From startups to established corporations, each participant embraced their role with enthusiasm, seizing every opportunity to learn and contribute. They navigated projects, collaborated with teams, and faced challenges head-on, all the while guided by the invaluable lessons gleaned from Leadhers 2.0.
As the internship period is still ongoing, anticipation once again filled the air, this time tinged with hope and possibility. With newfound confidence and experience under their belts, participants eagerly awaited the prospect of full-time employment, ready to embark on the next chapter of their professional journey.
With the support of Rebound Liberia Leadhers 2.0, of these aspiring professionals had not only gained essential digital literacy skills but had also cultivated a mindset of resilience, adaptability, and lifelong learning. As they stepped into the future, they carried with them the transformative impact of their journey—a testament to the power of education, determination, and community.
