Rebound Liberia Update: Tournament Success!

We hope your year is getting off to a great start! 

When we first had the idea to have an all girls tournament in Monrovia, we didn’t know that it would become the largest girls basketball tournament in Liberia. We took on a challenge to host more than 120 girls from 8 different schools and thanks to you, the tournament was a major success.

Out of the 8 schools, A.M. Fofanna took home the championship and walked away with the $1,000 dollars in-kind cash prize. The $1,000 went towards paying for national exams fees for all 15 players and other students. Promoting education is at the core of what we do and with your help, we were able to provide $500 USD college scholarships to three of our program alumni.

Thank you for your donations, support, and encouragement. Of course the tournament was a crowd favorite with many of the participants asking when the next tournament would take place. We hope that the answer is soon!
